Emirate of Fujairah 1975

Although Fujairah upon its independence in 1952 had adopted a flag with its name inscribed in white on red and flew the white-bordered red flag at sea, it returned to a plain red flag in 1961. In 1975 however, Fujairah decided to abolish the red flag altogether and adopt the federal flag of the United Arab Emirates as its banner.
